3 Days of Fashion
2010 Winner

In Fashion Club's "3 Days of Fashion" Contest, entrants were asked to makeover a friend in the style of Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, or Lady Gaga and submit at least five photos of the finished look (including wardrobe, hair and makeup), along with an essay explaining their reasons for their celebrity choice and how they recreated their look.

Helen T. was our winner with an amazing display of creativity, making over her friend in the style of Lady Gaga. We loved the origami claws and inverted circle skirt fashioned out of a clear umbrella and hula hoop! She will receive a VIP Guest Pass to attend FIDM's "3 Days of Fashion" (a $250 value), free transportation to and from Los Angeles, three nights at one of L.A.'s trendiest hotels, plus $150 per day for food and expenses!

Excerpt from Helen T.’s Essay: "The more I researched Lady Gaga’s style, the more I grew to love her sense of unrestrained individuality. She consistently wears a never-before-seen balanced mix of masculine angles and feminine curves. She manages to pull off an outfit that makes the stereotypical 'uglies' beautiful. She wears unconventional material that most people would never even think of using as clothes. From that moment on, I knew Lady Gaga had to be my celebrity style inspiration because she truly accepts who she is even if expressing her individuality makes her different from the accepted norm."
